Puppy training: 

Pretraining puppies is important for healthy development and a great way to start building a close bond and relationship with them. Setting boundaries early on and gaining their trust, can set you up for success in the future. As they grow so do their personalities and this is where their instincts and character of their breed really show e.g. a Labrador's energetic behaviour and quick learning abilities. Pretraining will help to:

🐶 Teach basic commands (Will set them up for successful training in the future).

🐶 This will also include crate training if that's a route you wish to take with your puppy.

Obedience Training:

Obedience training comes in many forms. Do you want to improve your dogs recall? Maybe you just want to get the basics down, sit and stay on command? Obedience training has many benefits including:

🐶 Safety- Sit, stay and come are just a few examples of how obedience can benefit your dogs safety. This allows them to navigate their environments and prevent either of you from getting into potentially dangerous situations.

🐶 Socialization- Obedience training can help your dog learn how to positively interact with other dogs/people. This allows you and your dog to be stress free when out on walks or having people come into your home.

🐶 Bonding- Building a trusting relationship with your dog is so important, allowing you to understand each other better, create boundaries and form a strong bond which will further improve your training.

 

Behaviour correction:

"Bad" behaviour in dogs can form from early on, whether it's because the dog had a bad upbringing or we as owners have accidentally conditioned our dogs to believe that certain behaviours, such as jumping up, are okay. Reactive dogs can cause stress and tension when you are out on walks or in social situations, but there are many reasons as to why a dog may be reactive:

🐶 Anxiety (Separation, Social, Age-Related, etc.)

🐶 Lack of socialisation from an early age

🐶 Negative experiences 

🐶 Underlying health issues 

Behaviour correction will improve:

🐶 Aggression towards people, dogs, and other animals

🐶 Leash reactivity, such as barking and lunging

🐶 Separation anxiety

🐶 Excessive barking

🐶 Jumping up

🐶 Resource guarding and territorial-based behavior

🐶 Compulsive based behaviors (Repetitive behaviours that are difficult for the dog to stop e.g. Shadow/light chasing or chewing on objects).

Understanding behaviours in dogs is important and being able to improve them will result in a happy dog and a happy owner.

Walking

Solo walks:

🐶 Who are these walks best for?

Great for dogs who prefer to be on their own, reactive dogs, puppies who don't need an excessive amount of exercise or an older dog who needs a slower pace.

Group Walks

🐶 Who are these walks best for?

Great for social dogs who love to run around and play with others, or dogs who don't usually get to socialise or have contact others- this can cause them to get lonely and depressed. Groups will be a maximum of 4 dogs at a time and the dogs within each group will be matched based on compatible behaviours and personalities.

🐶 What are the benefits of group walks?

Perfect way for dogs to run, play, chase, sniff and socialise with others. They will stay in the same groups on every walk unless circumstances change, so they will form strong friendships with each other. With a wide range of beautiful walks in our surrounding area, no two walks will be the same. 

1 hour £10 per dog

Two dogs from the same household:

1 hour £14 for both

Some more things for you to know:

🐶 Walk times start from the second we arrive at our destination to the second we set off home, so that the dogs get every minute to run, play and explore- Doesn't include travel, pick up and drop off times.

🐶 After the walks, all dogs will have the opportunity to wind down, have plenty of water and will never come home wet, smelly and dirty. They will also have a full inspection for ticks.

🐶 All dogs must be microchipped and have a suitable collar with an ID tag (spare tags with our details on them are with us at all times should we need them).

🐶 Poo bags provided and spare leads carried at all times.

🐶 Treats provided with allergy options (discussed at pre-service consultation).

🐶 Free photo updates to let you know how your dog is getting on.

🐶 Free first trial mini walk for new dogs.

🐶 Loyalty cards provided for all walks offering 20% off your 10th walk!

🐶 Cancellations must be made by 8:00 pm the evening before the walk.

🐶 50p per mile fuel charge for locations out of the Purbeck area (Contact for more info).

Home visits/Pet sitting

Who are these services for?

Everyone! Whatever pet you have, we are happy to offer our services from the comfort of their own home. 

🐶 Dog sitting

This includes day sitting or overnight stays with your dog, and 30 minutes with a puppy including feeding them their lunch time meals. This service includes companionship, feeding, playtime, medication applications, time in the garden and regular walks (prices for walking will be discounted from regular prices but will be charged additionally to this service).

Puppy visits: 

30 minutes £9 

Day sitting:

£12 per hour

Overnight stays (This also includes basic upkeep and security for your house whilst you are away):

£25 per night

🐱 Cat sitting

This includes feeding, medication application and playtime. 

30 minutes £9

Extra charge for cleaning out litter trays (Please contact for more info).

🐰 Small animal visits

This includes feeding, water changes, handling time.

30 minutes £6

Extra charge for cleaning out cages (Please contact for more info).

🐠 Fish care

This includes feeding and check ups only.

£5 per visit
